It takes years to grow a tree full of fruits. It also takes 15 years to saw Welhome’s seeds all over the world. Not only did our business begin to reach continents across the oceans, but so did our willingness to exhibit.
But before we boast such expansions, We’d like to brief you on how hard to start from scratch against all odds. A decade and half ago, Qingdao Welhome Co., Ltd is nothing short of a small to middle furniture factory. Back then, we had focused our eyes on the foreign market to keep up with further practice of Chinese policy of the reform and opening-up. To boost our sales volume, we have become a constant participant of large-scale Chinese exhibitions, such as China Import & Export Fair and China International Furniture Fair. All these fairs serve as a bridge between us and foreign customers, where they can have face-to-face conversations with our sales professionals and a closer look at the quality products. However, we are far from being satisfied with this steps.
“Apparently, foreign trade necessitates our moves to exhibitions and fairs abroad, “ said William Wei, general manager of Welhome.
In January 2013, William got on the plane to Germany in excitement where Koelnmesse Trade Fair was about to take place. “That was a lonely journey,” he recalled slowly. “I had to get to the airport myself, check in myself, talk to myself, fetch the samples myself and have meals myself. All by myself. But it is, notably, a great success. Despite limited exhibition room, I still made a lot of foreign friends, thanks to our unfailing good quality.”
All in all, Koelnmesse Trade Fair is the starting point for Welhome to embrace the world in terms of fairs. It has layed a solid basis for Welhome’s further expansion to the rest of the world.
